Ingredients

• 1 lb of meat (beef, chicken, pork, or shrimp)

• 2 tablespoons of fish sauce

• 2 tablespoons of oyster sauce

• 2 tablespoons of soy sauce

• 1 tablespoon of brown sugar

• 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil

• 2 cloves of garlic, minced

• 2 teaspoons of chili paste

• 2 tablespoons of bone broth

• 2 cups of mixed vegetables (bell peppers, carrots, onions, mushrooms, etc.)

• 2 tablespoons of fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

  1. Marinate the meat with the fish sauce, oyster sauce, and soy sauce for 10 minutes. 
  2. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. 
  3. Add the garlic, chili paste, and marinated meat to the skillet and cook for 5 minutes. 
  4. Add the vegetables and bone broth to the skillet and cook for another 5 minutes. 
  5. Add the brown sugar and stir to combine.
  6. Add the chopped basil and stir to combine.
  7. Serve hot with steamed jasmine rice.

Notes:

If you don't have bone broth, you can also use vegetable broth or chicken broth. You can also use any type of vegetables you like.

Serving Suggestions

Pad Kaprow is best served with steamed jasmine rice or cauliflower rice. You can also serve it with a side of fresh salad or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
